Many Oppo phone users want to know the reason and solution to the problem of the phone disconnecting and turning on on its own, just as they want a way to speed up the Internet.
Why does my Oppo phone suddenly turn off?
Usually, the phone system issues are the reason for the problem of the phone turning off and on for Oppo alone. As for the rest of the reasons, they include falling on the ground or in water, very high or very low temperature, and a tight phone case that presses the power button.
Self-resetting the device that restarts your phone from time to time after a long period of use to help it clear the cache of open applications and this is normal, because it does not cause any harm to the phone but rather contributes to saving space on your phone and making it work smoothly.
If you use any app for a long time, it will increase the processor usage which will make it reboot itself to be able to work properly. The phone may also reboot itself if it is downloading a system or app update and you stopped the download of that update and did not complete it.
If you are using apps that are not supported by Android, your phone may restart itself. This usually happens when you install apps from unknown sources, i.e. from other websites and not from the play store. Or if the battery is dead, damaged or dirty.
The problem could also be caused by a damaged power switch, full phone memory, viruses, battery drain, setting the phone to restart at specific times, phone accessories, or if you have installed too many apps at once, apps with problems etc.
The phone locked itself, what should I do?
1. Check if the phone is in sleep mode.
First, check if the phone has been turned off by pressing the power button once. If the screen lights up, it means the phone has not been turned off. The screen turns off automatically after a certain period of time, which is normal.
You can adjust the screen timeout by going to Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-off screen. Then choose your preferred screen timeout.
2. Restart the phone
The solution to the problem of the mobile phone disconnecting and turning on on the Oppo unit is usually to turn off and on your phone by pressing and holding the “Power button” until the power options menu appears and then choosing “Restart”, or by pressing and holding the “Power button” and the “Volume Up button” at the same time for 8 to 10 seconds or until the device restarts.
3. Battery charging and troubleshooting
An empty battery may cause your phone to shut down. So try charging your phone with an original OPPO charger until it reaches 100% charge. After charging is complete, use the phone to see if the problem persists.
Another reason for this problem is a damaged battery. The battery is damaged and needs to be replaced if it starts draining faster than usual or if the back of the phone is swollen, etc. Note: If the battery is built into your phone, do not try to replace it yourself.
Removable battery repair
If your phone’s battery is removable, remove it and make sure the battery fins are intact and the battery is original and not swollen. If you don’t find any damage, the problem may be caused by battery shrinkage, which can happen after long periods of use.
The shrinkage causes the battery to move out of place when you shake the phone. To see if this is the cause, shake your phone gently. If that doesn’t turn it off, hold your phone in one hand and tap the center of its back on the palm of your other hand.

To fix it, fold a small piece of paper several times until it becomes a little thick, then stuff it between the bottom part of the battery (which does not have the gold terminals) and the phone to close the gap between them.
The amount of paper you need will depend on how much space there is. If the problem persists, it may be that your phone case is too loose. To solve this, place the same piece of paper between the battery and the case. If you are able to make the space tight enough, this should solve the problem.
4. Check that the power button is not jammed or damaged.
If the power button is jammed or damaged, this could be causing the problem. To check if the button is in good condition, remove the case and then press the button several times. If you hear a slight click, the button is fine. If it is soft or jammed inside, it needs to be repaired. You can use tweezers to pull it out.
5. Cleaning phone ports
Remove the phone case and then check the phone ports such as the charging port. To see if there is any dirt stuck in it, if so, gently clean it with a pointed object such as a toothpick. Also clean around the buttons such as the power button.
6. Remove the case and any accessories covering the buttons and sensors.

To fix this try removing those things. Note: If you want to use accessories later make sure they don’t block sensors or touch buttons.
7. Disable scheduled on/off
Your phone has a “scheduled power on/off” feature that lets you set your phone to turn on and off at specific times automatically. You may have used it by mistake and that is causing the problem.
You can check this by going to Settings > Additional Settings > tap Schedule Power On/Off > toggle the switch next to AutoPlay to Off, and turn off AutoPlay.
8. Close unused applications
When you move from one application to another without closing the applications you were using, there will be a lot of open applications that will burden your phone’s processor, causing the phone to restart.
The solution is to close those apps. Go to “Settings” > “Manage Applications” > choose an app > “Force Stop”. Repeat this with the rest of the apps.
Alternatively, you can tap the square at the bottom of the screen to show all the apps running in the background. To close an app, tap “Close All” at the bottom of the screen.
You can also use the “Phone Manager” app on your Oppo phone by opening the Phone Manager app > Wait for the scan to finish > Click on Optimize > Restart the phone.
9. Empty full memory
Problems can start to occur on your phone when the available storage space is less than 10% so your phone’s full storage space might be the reason why the phone is disconnecting and turning on for Oppo.
To fix this free up some space by deleting apps you don’t use, large files, internet download history, app data, etc.
Go to “Settings” > “Phone Manager” > Clear Storage and delete excess files. Make sure that the available storage space is not less than 20% of the total phone space.
Note: If you need more space, you can use an SD card or a cloud storage service such as “Google Drive”.
10. Reduce phone temperature
Your phone will reboot when it gets hot, giving it a chance to cool down to prevent damage to its internal components. So if you notice your phone getting hot, turn off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS when not in use and remove the case to let it cool down.
If it gets hot while charging, remove it from the charger, close all applications, let it cool down, then charge it again. To avoid overheating your phone, avoid watching videos for long periods of time, playing games, or leaving your phone under the sun, but keep it in a cool place.
Use the original “oppo” charger and charging cable, it is preferable to reduce the number of applications you run each time, and avoid excessive use. It is also recommended to use the phone at a suitable temperature (16 degrees -35 degrees).
11. Remove malicious and recently installed applications
Malicious apps can mess with your phone and cause it to reboot. To find out if that is the reason why your Oppo phone keeps turning on and off.
Boot your phone into safe mode which will temporarily disable the apps you have installed.
First turn off the phone, after it is completely turned off press and hold the phone’s power button and once the logo appears release the power button and continue pressing the volume down button and wait until the phone turns on.
If the mode works, you will see the words “Safe Mode” at the bottom of the screen. Then use your phone for a few minutes to see if the problem occurs. If it does not occur in safe mode, then an app is the culprit and you should remove it. Then exit “Safe Mode” by restarting your phone.
Go to “Settings app” > “Manage applications” > Uninstall applications and updates that you have recently installed, especially those that you downloaded shortly before the problem occurred, battery saving applications, and task management.
After each removal, restart your phone and check whether removing this app has solved the problem or not. You can install an antivirus app to check for malicious apps and remove and protect yourself from them.
12. Update all phone applications
If you notice the problem of the mobile phone disconnecting and working on its own when using a specific application or when running it in the background, the problem may be caused by it, especially if you are using an old version that contains malfunctions or is no longer compatible with the Android version of your device.
You can fix this by updating the app and other apps by going to Play Store > tap on your profile picture from the top left of the screen > Manage apps and devices > Updates available > Update all or update a specific app.
If the problem of the mobile phone disconnecting and turning on again appears on the Oppo unit, clear the cache and force stop it by going to “Settings” > “Manage Applications” > click on that application > “Force Stop” > “Clear Cache”.
If that also fails, you can contact the app developer for assistance (you can find contact information on the app’s Play Store page), or uninstall and then reinstall the app.
13. Solve the problem of the mobile phone disconnecting and turning on on its own by updating the system
The update fixes system bugs that can cause a lot of phone problems. If you don’t update your phone’s system regularly, system problems may be the cause.
Especially if you make sure that the battery is not damaged or empty and that the phone settings are not the cause. To check for an update, open the “Settings app” > “Software updates” > “Wait for the phone to finish searching for available updates.” Then download and install the available update.
14. Reset phone settings only

If the factory reset does not solve the problem of the phone disconnecting and turning on on its own, the reason may be damage to some parts of the phone, such as the sensors, as a result of fall into the water For example, or because your phone is old. This can be fixed by going to Authorize your phone If it cannot be repaired, you may need to buy a new phone.
Note: If your phone falls into water, immediately remove the case, the battery if it is removable, and the SIM card, then leave the phone in a cool, dry place.
